Even more “Trucker Movie Madness” it seems. JournalStar.com has posted an article about the movie and the characters in the film. Like we heard before, “Michelle Monaghan is turning up on Oscar lists, seen as having an outside shot at an Academy Award nomination for her performance as a very independent truck driver forced to reunite with her 11-year-old son in “Trucker.”"
Monaghan was interviewed and had this to say about the character she plays in the film. “”This is a girl you might not even like by the end of the movie,” Monaghan said. “For me, this is a real person I can identify with. She’s a real person, that was sort of my approach. As an actor you don’t ever want to judge your character. There’s a reason why they are who they are. That’s what I wanted to discover in her. I wasn’t so interested in her behavior but in digging a little deeper and finding out what makes her tick…”
Good character, good story. Great film and I have to say she does deserve a nomination for her performance in this film.
